Encino offers a small-town feel in close proximity to urban LA. Spacious, manicured lawns mark the larger estates that amble across hillsides, creating a beautiful, relaxed environment. For a high-end shopping experience, join the rest of the locals and make your way to Ventura Boulevard. There's something for everyone here in the bustling center of Encino, but it is worth the effort to seek out the Michelin-starred Shin Sushi, famous for its incredible omakase menu. Sit at the counter and watch as the chef prepares incredibly fresh and delicious sushi creations you won't find anywhere else. Don't miss Versailles Restaurant, one of LA's favorite eateries, which is famous for its authentic Cuban cuisine. Encino Commons is a favorite stop on weekends, where the local farmers’ market is ranked as one of the best markets in the LA area. Pick up a smoothie or a homemade pastry for brunch, then head to one of Encino's incredible parks and open spaces for a picnic in the sunny California weather. There's plenty to do as the sun sets in Encino, as well. For a romantic night out, Davenport's Restaurant offers an intimate dining area and a beautiful patio along with wonderful meals.

 

Despite its convenience to the urban lifestyle of LA, Encino is bookended by natural beauty. On the north side of this area, the Sepulveda Basin Recreation Area offers something for everyone. Take a walk around a scenic lake, enjoy both indoor and outdoor sports facilities, or practice your golf swing at one of several courses in the area. For a different type of adventure, head south to San Vicente Mountain Park for stunning views of the city and great singletrack, hiking, and equestrian trails.
